About Us
Hi, My name is Lois Charles and I am the Owner & Operator of
Fresh Air Carpet Care.
I Founded this firm along with my Husband Mike
and our Daughter Sara when we saw a need for a different
type of cleaning - a methodology that has become known as
"Green Cleaning"
I was a licensed Veterinary Technician for 25 years,
and saw first hand many times the harm that cleaning chemicals
would cause to a family's pet, resulting in serious injury or
death to a beloved family member.
My Husband served as the Health & Safety Administrator
for Guilford County Schools, and was faced daily with the struggle to provide a clean & healthy environment for the 64,000 students and 8,500 employees of the School District.
He researched the cleaning agents and technology that would become "Green Cleaning"
The School District cleaned 10 million square feet of carpet at least twice a year, and he experienced first hand the problems that improper use of chemicals and High Moisture Cleaning generated at the schools.
After leaving the School District, we decided that the alternative, safe and healthy methods for cleaning carpet and upholstered items that he had discovered during his research needed to be implemented here in the Triad.
